Week 3

The tooth was coming along until Jerry's didn't have my clay, so until they get it in I will be working on my copper wire tree. I recently got my hands on a tree stump that will be the base to my tree. I also went to Home Depot today to begin the process of slowly purchasing copper wire (this will be an expensive project). 

Ernest Tait- While searching for artist that relate to my work I ran across Ernest Tait, I had never seen his work before. His work is beautifully done, I love working with larger gauges of copper wire because it is so easy to bend and manipulate. 

Becki Smith is an assemblage artist, she takes boxes and recycles things to inspire new insights, she likes the idea of having endless possibilities with assemblage art. I would like to put together more assemblage art for senior show!

Donald Fodness is a mix media artist, I liked this piece of work because I'm planning on working on my mask soon and need ideas for a way to display my piece. 

Suzanne Stroebe, another mixed media/assemblage artist, the placement of her work is very balanced and the reflection of the glass onto the sculpture brightens the piece, along with the shadow from the glass which gives the piece a beautiful body.
